He was raised in a household defined by public service and a commitment to education. His father, a respected educator and council member, dedicated his life to alleviating poverty through learning. His home became an informal school for underprivileged children, where he taught them character development and ethics. This legacy is matched by a distinguished family heritage: his grandfather held the title of Daeng, a noble designation within the Bugis-Makassar tribe. He was raised with a set of core values rooted in the Bugis philosophy of “Sipatuo Sipatokkong”—“to mutually give life and mutually uphold.” This principle of mutual support guides his commitment to spreading happiness and joy, while also upholding his own integrity, intelligence, and self-respect.
