WACW - WRITINGS AND CREATIVE WORKS

During her MBA studies at Monash University, Agustine Gunawan authored an academic paper titled “High Destination: Sustainable Development”, which explored how companies, particularly those building factories or industrial infrastructure, can place environmental responsibility as a core foundation of their business development. The paper emphasised the importance of aligning commercial goals with ecological accountability, highlighting practices such as waste management, energy efficiency and community engagement. This early work reflected her deep concern for sustainability, a value that continues to shape her leadership approach in driving digital health initiatives with a strong focus on long-term impact and social responsibility

CASA - CIVIL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Agustine actively engages in civil and social initiatives that bridge public health education with technology. She has served as a speaker and panelist at various digital health forums, including the Healthcare Asia Forum 2023, where she shared insights on improving healthcare access through digital platforms. Beyond public speaking, she plays a critical role in public–private collaborations aimed at strengthening community health awareness. One of her notable contributions was leading Alodokter’s involvement in the development of a COVID-19 risk assessment chatbot, in partnership with the Indonesian Ministry of Health. This initiative helped educate and empower the public during the pandemic, offering accessible, reliable information to millions of Indonesians in real time. Her efforts reflect a commitment to making healthcare more inclusive, responsive and community-centred

AW - AWARDS

In 2023, Agustine received the PPKM Award from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in recognition of her contributions through Alodokter in supporting the country’s COVID-19 response. Under her leadership, Alodokter played a vital role in delivering digital healthcare solutions such as a COVID-19 risk assessment chatbot, free doctor consultations, vaccination centres, mass vaccinator training, and public health education through digital media. This award highlights Agustine’s strong commitment to cross-sector collaboration and technological innovation in addressing national public health crises in an inclusive and sustainable manner

ME - MEMBERSHIPS

Since 2018, Agustine has served as a Committee Member of the Indonesian Telemedicine Association (Asosiasi Telemedisin Indonesia), where she actively contributes to advancing the role of telemedicine in the national healthcare system. Her involvement is driven by a strong commitment to simplifying public access to healthcare services, particularly in underserved and remote areas. Through the association, she advocates for responsible digital health practices, combats misinformation surrounding medical treatments and health policies, and promotes telemedicine as an effective, scalable solution to bridge healthcare gaps. Her role also includes supporting regulatory dialogue, developing public awareness campaigns, and encouraging collaboration between healthcare providers, technology platforms, and government institutions to ensure that digital health innovations are inclusive, ethical, and impactful

ACH - ACHIEVEMENTS

Agustine’s greatest achievement by far, outside of formal awards, was leading the transformation of MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi from a cancer hospital that was initially quiet and avoided by the public into a trusted and bustling healthcare destination. As Head of Business & Marketing at the time, she faced the significant challenge of shifting public perception, as cancer hospitals were often associated with terminal illness and fear. To address this, Agustine spearheaded a comprehensive public education strategy and actively involved young doctors in outreach programmes that were empathetic, engaging and informative. This approach not only increased awareness of early cancer detection and treatment but also built public trust in MRCCC’s services and facilities. This transformation stands as a key milestone in her career, demonstrating how strategic education, inclusive communication, and emotional sensitivity can reshape public attitudes toward specialised healthcare institutions

LS - LANGUAGE SKILLS

Indonesian, English

H - HOBBY

Agustine finds joy and inspiration through various personal interests that reflect her curiosity and appreciation for life beyond the professional realm. She is deeply fond of and even obsessed with the beach, as the vast ocean, the rhythmic sound of waves, and the sea breeze offer her a profound sense of inner peace and calm. The beach serves as a personal sanctuary — a place where she feels fully present, recharges her energy, and gains mental clarity. In addition to her love for nature and sightseeing, Agustine also has a strong passion for culinary exploration, which allows her to discover new flavours and understand cultural stories behind each dish. She enjoys immersing herself in different cultures, whether through travel, art or meaningful interactions. These interests not only enrich her worldview but also nurture the empathy and depth that define her leadership style in the health and technology sectors, anchored in both strategy and a deeply human touch

PMM - PERSONAL MAGIC MOMENTS

One of the most pivotal and life-changing moments for Agustine was her decision to shift her career path from finance to business development, particularly in the healthcare sector. This move was more than just a professional transition — it was a personal turning point that opened a new perspective on purpose and impact. After years of working in the structured, numbers-driven world of finance, she began to feel a strong desire to contribute to something more meaningful. Transitioning into business development allowed her to do exactly that. It was in this space that she discovered her personal mission — to create real, tangible impact for others through health education, accessible medical services and digital innovation. She found fulfillment not just in building business strategies, but in helping improve and even save lives. This moment laid the emotional and spiritual foundation for the kind of leadership she practises today: purposeful, human-centred and deeply committed to making a difference

OA - OTHER ACTIVITIES

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Agustine finds peace and balance through two things she deeply values: spending time at the beach and practicing her faith. The beach offers her a space for relaxation and reflection and it’s often where she finds inspiration and clear thinking, both personally and professionally. She also regularly engages in spiritual practices, which serve as a source of inner strength and guidance. Through prayer and reflection, she strengthens values like honesty, humility and empathy. These two activities bring harmony to her life and shape her leadership style. For Agustine, a good leader is not only driven by logic and strategy, but also by inner calm and a strong connection to human values

ROS - REASON OF SUCCESS

For Agustine, the key to success lies in two core principles she has consistently upheld throughout her career: hard work and a solution-focussed mindset. She firmly believes that no achievement can be realised without full dedication, strong commitment, and a continuous willingness to learn and grow. To her, hard work is not merely about the number of hours put in, but about giving her best, even in the face of challenges. In addition, Agustine always approaches problems with a solution-oriented perspective. Rather than dwelling on obstacles or assigning blame, she chooses to focus on uncovering opportunities within every challenge. This mindset has empowered her to make strategic decisions, unite teams during times of crisis, and drive innovations that deliver real impact. It is this combination of relentless work ethic and constructive thinking that forms the foundation of Agustine’s success as a leader in digital health and cross-sector strategic partnerships.
