Albertina Ho began her judicial career in 1986 as a Judicial Candidate at the Yogyakarta District Court. After completing her training, she was appointed Judge at the Slawi District Court from 1987 to 1990, where she gained her first experience handling various civil and criminal cases. From 1990 to 1995, she served at the Temanggung District Court, and later at the Cilacap District Court from 1995 to 2000. These early years built her reputation as a disciplined and fair judge. In 2000, she moved to the Supreme Court as Secretary to the Deputy Chief Justice for Judicial Affairs. The position allowed her to understand the administrative and policy side of Indonesia’s judiciary. Her performance led to her appointment as Chief Judge of the Sungailiat District Court in Bangka Belitung from 2005 to 2008. From 2008 to 2011, she served at the South Jakarta District Court, where she gained national attention for handling high-profile corruption cases, including the Gayus Tambunan case. Her firmness in the courtroom earned her public recognition for judicial integrity. She later became Deputy Chief Judge of the Palembang District Court (2011–2015) and then Chief Judge of the Bekasi District Court (2015–2016). Both roles showed her leadership capacity in managing large courts while maintaining judicial discipline. Between 2016 and 2019, she served as a High Judge at the Medan High Court before being assigned as Deputy Chief Judge at the Kupang High Court in 2019. The same year, President Joko Widodo appointed her as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), where she served until 2024. Her time in KPK strengthened her reputation as a firm advocate for transparency and ethics. In 2025, she returned to the judiciary and was appointed Deputy Chief Judge of the Jakarta High Court. AW - AWARDS

In 2018, Albertina Ho received the Internal Supreme Court Award for Integrity and Professionalism (Satya Lencana Karya Satya), an honor that recognizes exceptional dedication, honesty, and commitment to the values of justice. The award, given only to those who have demonstrated long-standing excellence in judicial service, marked an important milestone in her career. It represented more than three decades of consistent performance, moral discipline, and public trust built through her work in Indonesia’s courts. Albertina’s journey toward this recognition reflected a life of determination and integrity. From her early years as a young judge in the district courts of Slawi, Temanggung, and Cilacap, she demonstrated precision, fairness, and a deep sense of duty. Her colleagues described her as a professional who placed the law above personal interest and who carried out her responsibilities without compromise. Her promotion to higher courts was not a matter of privilege but the result of merit and performance. As she advanced to leadership roles, first as Chief Judge in Sungailiat, then in Bekasi, and later as a High Judge in Medan, Albertina continued to embody the ideals of judicial ethics. Her decisions reflected a careful balance between legal reasoning and moral responsibility. She gained national respect after presiding over high-profile corruption cases, where she maintained neutrality and resisted all forms of external pressure. Her ability to uphold justice with composure during times of intense scrutiny strengthened public confidence in the judiciary when that confidence was under challenge. The Supreme Court’s decision to honor her with the Satya Lencana Karya Satya carried both personal and institutional meaning. It reaffirmed the values that sustain the judiciary: integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Within the Supreme Court community, her recognition served as a reminder that honor in public service must be earned through daily discipline and moral consistency. For Albertina, the award held a deeper message. It validated the principles that had guided her entire career, that justice requires both courage and humility, that leadership begins with integrity, and that credibility is built through years of unbroken commitment to the truth. She has often reflected that being a judge is not about power but about responsibility, the responsibility to protect the law from corruption and to ensure that every decision serves the public good. Her receipt of the Satya Lencana Karya Satya became more than a personal accolade. It stood as an inspiration for younger judges, proving that professionalism and ethical strength remain the highest standards of judicial excellence. Through her example, Albertina Ho reminded Indonesia that integrity is not an aspiration but a lifelong practice that defines both the individual and the institution they serve.
