"Don't easily give up", this mindset instilled by his parents not only shaped for his career journey, but also for Nayati’s future progress. Rather than fast-tracking his way to the top, Aldo chose to build his leadership from the ground up — facing challenges head-on, knowing the real-world industries, and navigating setbacks with grit. That “never-quit” philosophy has also helped Nayati thrive even during the COVID-19 pandemic
2006 - 2010 Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University, USA
After earning his Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University (2006–2010), Aldo began his career from the very ground up as a Customer Service at PT Nayati Indonesia, the kitchen equipment company which was founded by his father, Thendy Susanto. This deliberate placement allowed him to understand customer needs firsthand and laid the foundation for growing the business. From there, Aldo rotated through several key departments: 1) Product Engineering (2011) where he honed technical insights; 2) Research & Development Team (2012–2015) for driving product innovation, and as an Export Marketing & Marketing Communication (2017) for expanding Nayati’s global footprint. By 2019, he had risen to Director of Business Development, steering Nayati’s transformation from a globally scattered exporter to a more balanced domestic and international player. Under his leadership, Nayati’s domestic sales grew to 65%, with the balance 35% from export sales focussed on strategic markets like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Central Europe. He championed in-house component manufacturing, reducing the reliance on imports and boosting production capacity. For that initiative, Nayati expanded its production area by 10,000 m², reaching a total of 50,000 m², and scaled its workforce to meet rising demand. Aldo’s approach blends engineering precision with market intuition. He’s not just continuing a family legacy; he’s reshaping it for a global stage. Aldo Susanto envisions Nayati not as just an Indonesian brand, but as a world-class contender, at par with top-tier European kitchen equipment brands. Built on a legacy of precision engineering and relentless innovation, Nayati’s reputation speaks for itself. The brand has carved out an image of high-quality craftsmanship and asset durability. And then came the economic turbulence of COVID-19; while global competitors stumbled under supply chain disruptions and long lead times, Nayati surged forward. Nayatis' sales exploded as the company offered a faster lead time alongside high quality craftmanship
Aldo Susanto is one of the second-generation leaders of PT Nayati Indonesia—a subsidiary of the holding PT Nayati Inti Semesta—a leading Indonesian manufacturer of professional kitchen equipment. With over 40 years of continuous innovation, Nayati has grown into an internationally recognised brand, serving clients across the hospitality, healthcare, catering, and culinary industries. Nayati’s footprint extends beyond Indonesia, with offices and partners in Asia and Europe, including strategic locations in China, Belgium, and France. Beyond PT Nayati Indonesia, PT Nayati Inti Semesta showcases its depth and dynamism through a powerful portfolio of subsidiaries that strengthen its impact across industries: PT Restomart Cipta Usaha, PT Solex Indo Refrigeration, and PT Inox Metal Asia
He spoke at the Industrial Design Competitions (INDISCO), where he served as a judge at Diponegoro University in 2019.
Driven by Aldo Susanto and his strong team synergy, the company was awarded the Great Place to Work certification for 2025-2026. In 2024, Nayati was also named the Indonesian Most Reputable Companies Champion from SWA Magazine, a testament to its integrity, consistency, and brand trust across industries. And prior to that, in years 2015 and 2016, the Ministry of Trade honoured Nayati with the Primaniyarta Export Award, recognising it as a pioneering force in entering new international markets and setting a gold standard for Indonesian exports
At Nayati, Aldo carved a legacy of innovation and resilience through three standout achievements that continue to inspire: Firstly, amid the economic turbulence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Aldo not only steadied the ship — he boosted sales, transforming challenges into growth when many were struggling just to survive. Secondly, his masterpiece, the Spectatus, a unique kitchen equipment design crafted for high-end clients won the Primaniyarta Export Award in 2024. Thirdly, he successfully engineered a way to repurpose stainless steel waste into finely crafted, premium-grade products, blending sustainability with artistry

Believes in the power of a super team—where collaboration fuels acceleration. If you do everything by yourself, you might be able to do it, but you cannot go far. In business, synergy isn’t optional. It’s essential. When minds unite and talents align, the possibilities multiply.
