Joined an esteemed panel of experts and military personnel from the US, Australia and Africa, discussing about Gender, and Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism organised by U.S. Indo-Pacific Forum and Pacific Forum. on a UN-level conference; Shared the evolving role of women in SEA terrorism landscape, noting two pertinent points of shift, chatters within the cyberspace and gender mainstreaming that is critical today to curb the rise of female militancy in this region. The discussion was absolutely captivating as we examined the heavily gendered roles in Violent Extremist Organisations (VEOs), the gaps, drawing similarities to global movements of female empowerment, and where & how women can and should come in in P/CVE policies
