Notably, his aspiration to bring his entire family to the Holy Land for pilgrimage has been fulfilled, and they have created many cherished memories travelling to various countries together

In a moment that would shape the course of his life, Amiruddin Hamigu, then just a fourth-grade student, decided to venture to Jakarta with his older sibling. Drawn by a family opportunity, he embraced the move despite the hazy picture of his future in the bustling city. He quickly matured, understanding that life under his aunt's roof required a strong work ethic, a departure from the more carefree days of his childhood in Sulawesi. This pivotal decision, a story etched in his family's memory and often shared with his children, represents a fork in the road, potentially leading to a life as a fisherman or farmer had he stayed. Years later, another profound experience awaited him after medical school: an assignment to the remote and resource-scarce landscape of Flores, NTT. It was there, facing limitations and challenges, that he truly internalised the essence of courage in navigating life's unpredictable journey

Gardening at home

In his view, the path to success is paved with dedication and a deep belief in one's endeavours; Believes that when you choose a profession, you must immerse yourself fully, be completely committed, and have unwavering faith in your work, always maintaining a learner's mindset. Effort and striving (ihktiar) are paramount, yet he underscores the vital importance of prayer. He often expresses that while we must contribute our absolute best – the 99% we control – the final 1%, the influence of the divine, is what elevates our efforts to their ultimate potential.
