Began his career journey in Singapore after earning a BA (Hons) in Marketing from INTI International University College. His first role was in direct sales with a premium household product company, where he gained hands-on experience and led a small team. After three years, he took a six-month career break to travel and rejuvenate before venturing into the advertising sector briefly. He then transitioned into the financial planning industry in 2014, despite initial reservations. Over the next decade, Dave established himself in this competitive field, earning prestigious awards such as MDRT and IDA. He now leads a growing branch with a diverse team of financial advisors and is recognised for his client-centric approach and expertise in comprehensive financial planning, including insurance, investments, and estate planning. His career reflects resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering trust and long-term relationships with clients.

Dave's career is marked by significant achievements in media and publishing, showcasing his expertise; Appeared in various media, including radio on Singapore's Chinese-language stations FM88.3 and articles in notable magazines like Prime and Gao Feng. In 2015, he co-created an app-based magazine 'SYNC' with friends from Johor Bahru to highlight their hometown’s beauty and culture, merging technology and storytelling. These successes demonstrate Dave's connection with diverse audiences and his dedication to sharing insights across platforms.

Dave has also received various honours from Manulife Financial Advisers, including Titans Club awards and distinctions like FAQC Prestige Class and Top New Rookie Consultant of the Year from Financial Alliance. These awards reflect his professional success and commitment to delivering exceptional client value in a competitive industry.

Dave has successfully carved out a place for himself in the competitive Singaporean financial planning sector as a Malaysian. Lacking a broad network, he has nonetheless gained international accolades like the MDRT and IDA. His expertise has been showcased in media, including radio and magazines. A key milestone for him is his leadership journey; he has built and nurtured a diverse team of financial advisors, proudly mentoring them to achieve their own MDRT qualifications, reflecting his commitment to empowering others.

Passionate about travelling, having visited around 30 countries for leisure and work; Loves exploring new cultures, finding it enriching and relaxing. Additionally, he enjoys fine wine and is pursuing a Level 2 Sommelier certification. He practises Muay Thai, keeping him active and engaged. These hobbies showcase his diverse interests and appreciation for personal growth.
