Among the many awards he has received, both personally and on behalf of the law firm he leads, Lucas considers his greatest achievement to be his ability to act as a seeker of solutions for those who feel injustice while searching for justice. For him, helping others must go beyond boundaries. He strives to assist anyone in need, regardless of race, ethnicity, or social status, a principle passed down from his father, who taught him that whoever is in need must be helped. This conviction is also deeply rooted in his faith: to love your fellow human beings as yourself
Indonesian, English, Mandarin
Lucas enjoys listening to music and stories, watching films, swimming, and practising meditation as part of his personal balance and well-being
Lucas was once wrongfully accused and subsequently detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in connection with an alleged Obstruction of Justice case under Article 21 of Indonesia’s Anti-Corruption Law (Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes), unrelated to bribery, corruption or gratification. During the proceedings at the District and High Courts, he endured about two years in custody until the Supreme Court of Indonesia finally cleared him of all allegations and fully exonerated him, declaring him innocent and restoring his name and reputation. This episode became a turning point in his perspective on law and justice. He realised that when truth is sidelined, law can be reduced to a political instrument rather than a means of upholding justice. The experience shaped his conviction that what often exists is not pure justice, but the perception of justice determined by those in power
Beyond his legal career, Lucas is active as a guest lecturer at Universitas Hasanuddin and serves as a Capital Market and Financial Sector Legal Consultant (HKHSK). He also engages in strategic business ventures, spanning hospitality, fintech, banking, capital markets, blockchain/cryptocurrency, and other diversified investments across multiple industries
Lucas believes that everything he has achieved is ultimately a gift from God. He sees himself not as someone extraordinary, but as someone deeply blessed, receiving far beyond his own expectations and human capabilities. For him, success is less about personal strength, and more about grace. He believes that true success is being able to go to bed each night with one’s soul at peace.
