From a young age, Faishal’s family reminded him that true success is not measured by fame or wealth, but by how much good you bring to others. They often told him, “Knowledge is your light, kindness is your strength, and humility is your path.” These words shaped his character, inspiring him to keep learning, to speak with compassion, and to use every opportunity not only for personal growth but also to uplift his community.
He graduated with Cum Laude as a Bachelor of Laws from Brawijaya University in 2022. He also pursued studies in Communication Science and Public Relations at Brawijaya University in 2017-2018, where he achieved a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0.
Faishal, a visionary Gen Z leader from Indonesia, always believed the world had more to offer beyond the horizon. While most toddlers his age were fascinated with PlayStations, he had a different dream. Earlier, he asked his parents for a laptop and a smartphone. To him, these weren’t just gadgets; they were gateways to the world. With them, he plunged into social media, building friendships across continents and immersing himself in cultures far from his own. The more he learned, the more he recognized the gap between Indonesia and other nations in terms of global exposure and opportunities. Faishal embarked on his first international journey through modeling in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand during his early teens. Those experiences became transformative, shaping not only his confidence but also his global identity. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he embraced every international opportunity: becoming an Oralist at the Namco International Moot Court Competition under the Asian International Arbitration Centre, representing Indonesia at the ALSA International Moot Court Competition under the International Chamber of Commerce, and serving as President of the Asian Law Students’ Association Model United Nations. His contributions extended to roles as Board Director of the International Law Students Association, involvement in the Indonesian National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, and memberships with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, and the Thailand Institute of Justice, among others. Recognized as a face of Gen Z for the ASEAN Conference in collaboration with the United Nations and the Thailand Institute of Justice, Faishal went beyond conventional career paths. While many peers chose routine internships, he secured prestigious placements at four of the world’s top law firms: Clifford Chance, Baker McKenzie, Linklaters, and Latham & Watkins, proving that ambition, grit, and a global mindset could redefine what’s possible for Indonesian youth. In 2020, his voice reached global platforms when he was invited by Japan’s oldest and largest TV station to share his insights as one of the Indonesian students affected by COVID-19. This opened doors to more invitations from international TV programs and conferences, where he spoke alongside leaders and changemakers. He was also invited to attend high-level G20 conferences with presidents from Indonesia, France, South Korea, the United States, and many more, further expanding his global influence. His impact grew as he became the world’s youngest international judge at competitions such as the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, AllRise Mooting, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Foreign Direct Investment Moot, and the Willem C. Vis (East) Moot. Adding yet another milestone to his journey as an international speaker, Faishal became a TEDx Speaker and has spoken at Asian Law School 101 Seminars, Arbitration in Indonesia 101, Youth Camps, Student Ambassador Seminars, and many other platforms, including initiatives with Sayap Malaikat Foundation, where he continues to inspire audiences with his vision of youth empowerment, education, and global connectivity. His story continues to unfold, woven through countless achievements, international platforms, and a relentless drive to elevate Indonesia’s youth onto the global stage.
Faishal founded Sayap Malaikat Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on education, especially on ensuring equal access to technology and globalization opportunities for Indonesian children. The foundation’s mission is to elevate Indonesia’s human potential in the fast-moving era of globalization, so that young people can compete confidently on the global stage. At a deeper level, its goal is to improve lives through the mastery of both English and technology. To Faishal, English isn’t just a school subject; it is the key to unlocking the world. Through Sayap Malaikat, he champions English proficiency and digital literacy as passports to global opportunity, reaching even the most remote communities. He also founded Brom Mattens Tailor: a fashion business that reflects his flair for style and innovation, Brom Show: a podcast where he shares insights, conversations, and inspiration with global changemakers; and established Brom Camp Academy: a personal development hub that has trained talents ranging from Miss World and Miss International contestants to aspiring leaders, empowering them to unlock their fullest potential.
In 2022, he wrote an international journal article about the future of law in Web 3.0
He also made a social impact in Thailand and Malaysia as a volunteer for the AIESEC International Social Project, where he taught English in rural areas of Asia. Through the Sayap Malaikat Foundation, he and his team regularly visit orphanages to provide financial support, organize free English classes for students in rural regions in Indonesia, host seminars and counseling sessions, and deliver technology guides and English-language books to schools and orphanages in underserved communities.
Faishal stands as a shining example of youth excellence. In 2015, he received the Indonesia Multi Talent Award. Between 2008 and 2016, he also won numerous modeling competitions, establishing a strong foundation in the creative industry. In 2023, he was listed as one of the Most Influential Youth from East Java Province. His knowledge, communication, and persuasive skills earned him the title of Best Speaker and led his team to be named The Most Distinguished Group in Mock GCM and Best Group Academic Activity at the ALSA Forum International in 2022. Earlier, in 2019, he received the Best Project of the Year Award from the Asian Law Students Association. At Brawijaya University, his academic journey reached new heights. In 2022, he graduated on the Dean’s List with First Class Honors, Cum Laude, and was celebrated as The Most Recognizable Student as well as a Recipient of the Special Award for Students, a prestigious honor granted to those who bring pride and global recognition to their university. His achievements continued beyond graduation. In 2025, he was recognized as The Most Notable Alumni from his high school.
For him, true achievement is defined by the impact he makes on others. His deepest achievement is contributing meaningfully to society through the Sayap Malaikat Foundation.

Faishal’s personal magic moments often come from his gift of manifestation. Since childhood, he has believed that whatever he clearly visualizes with faith and determination will eventually happen. Time and again, life has proven him right, from winning competitions he once imagined himself excelling in, to stepping onto international stages he had long envisioned, to founding organizations and businesses that once only lived in his mind. For Faishal, the true magic is not luck, but the power of vision turned into reality.
He is a lawyer, model, judge and arbitrator, influencer, spokesperson, life coach, philantrophist, humanitarian, entrepreneur, host, singer, and author. His career is a vibrant mosaic of intellect, leadership, and charisma. And when he's not making waves in the virtual loop or stage, you'll occasionally find him stepping into the spotlight as a model.
First is to have a purpose in life. Success and fame may rise and fall, but purpose is unshakable. Live your life with purpose. It’s the compass that keeps you grounded and driven, so live your life with purpose. Second, believe in yourself unconditionally. Whatever the path we take, we have the same potential. Supporting a friend’s success doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. Success will come at the right time. An international career may not be in everyone’s path's, but everybody can make a difference. For Faishal, true value lies in your dedication to others, whether through charity, community work, or simply offering a helping hand. Start with small things. Aside, he has built a belief system where limits don’t exist, and every challenge is simply another step toward what is destined to achieve.
